If the sprint tri seems like child’s play, then train for the Olympic tri. It starts off with a 0.93-mile swim, then participants bike for 25 miles, and they end it with a 6.2-mile run.

If even that can be easily done, then go for the ultra tri. Also known as the Ironman Triathlon, it consists of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and ends with a 26.2-mile run. It is for the best of the best.

Don’t Compromise On the Gear

All three of the sports require proper gear, and you have to get the best to get through this race. The essential items would be a bike, helmet, suit, and running shoes. You can browse helmets on, whereas you should research the bicycles in the bike stores around the city. It is important that bike properly fits your needs. It should not be too high nor too low. You should also consider getting a triathlon suit, as it can be extremely complicated to change clothing when wet.

Fuel Your Body

Eating the right foods is very important, as it provides the energy your body needs to carry on with the extensive training. If you don’t eat properly, your body will feel weak and might not be able to complete the tasks. You should consider consulting a nutritionist or hiring a coach. Along with eating, you should also drink a lot of fluids.

If the days are hot, go indoor swim, try biking or running if the weather is beautiful, you should train with a flexible schedule.
