My proposed routes to commute to the Potomac Boat Club from Columbia Heights

Like I proposed yesterday, I will try to spend a lot more time at the Potomac Boat Club boathouse in DC and I propose to get there and back on my Surly Steamroller. There are three routes that I have been able to come up with for this trip that I might choose between or try and then choose one or maybe choose which one to use depending on time and weather.

My latest plan for getting fit fast

I plan to spend my workdays at my sports club since they have Wi-Fi, someplace nice to work, air conditioning, lots of changes to work out, and it’s far from access to junk food. For context, challenge leader, Parker Sheppard, has clocked 126,445 meters–more than 100,000 meters ahead of me. But I am picking up and am hopeful and am also having fun and am […]

Out of the frying pan onto water

Remember when I was running 5ks? It seems like only yesterday I was literally kicking ass and taking names at 9Round Penrose and doing Pacers-sponsored 5k races. Well, that took a break. I caught some sort of bug and tried to use my human immune system to fight off the invading armies with sleep, liquids, […]
