JLRacing Unisex Polypro ErgTrou rowing trou for indoor rowers and rowing ergometers

JLRacing ErgTrou are the ultimate trou

At first, I thought that the polypro unisex ErgTrou by JLRacing was a gimmick. All I could see that was any different at first blush was that gimmicky alternative logo of a stick figure little unisex person on a Concept2 indoor rower and a slit pocket at the small of the back in which you can stow your smartphone or MP3 player while you’re doing all the meters on your erg.

LifeSpan Treadmill Desk Chris Abraham

Slow jogging, slow rowing, and the slow walking of the treadmill desk owner

I have a new new year’s resolution I think I’ll go back and add: if I am going to write on this blog, I am going to need to be be doing all of my blogging and writing while I am walking very slowly on my own treadmill desk.

Initial impressions of the TomTom Adventurer Outdoor GPS Watch

I am sorry about not posting for so long. I was really sick over the Winter and am finally on the mend. In the meanwhile, my Fitbit Surge broke and I have been making it work with a Fitbit Zip. Last week I received the new TomTom Adventurer Outdoor GPS Watch to review from the gang at TomTom. It arrived […]

I just walked across the African Continent

So, I had been really slowing down on steps in my constant war towards defeating sedentarism towards my 10,000 steps-per-day but I blame my FitBit Surge. So, I figured out if you can run two FitBit devices concurrently. The answer is yes so I bought a cheap FitBit Zip from eBay for like $35 and […]

FitBit Surge Plus FitBit Zip

FitBit Surge gypped me on steps so I added a Zip

I do most of all of my daily steps on my LifeSpan Treadmill Desk DT-5. Since I am working on this desk all day, I am oftentimes leaning over a little, putting pressure on the built-in arms pads with my arms, and typing, typing, typing, isolating my movements so that I can focus on writing […]

Update: my local 9Round closed so I am no longer a member of 9Round.  I started trying to wear my old Wahoo heart rate monitor strap and their Wahoo app to communicate my almost daily workout to someplace else. I have sorted out how best to work my Fitbit Surge to the wrist and hand […]

312 pound Chris Abraham after a 2.26 mile run

Three-hundred-and-twelve-pounds! When did that happen?

As I have begun to share over in shop healthy, cook healthy, eat healthy, be healthy, I really let myself go. I might have been wearing my fancy new Fitbit Surge but I haven’t been rising to any of all the occasions that have been offered to me as a result of being up to my […]

Jan 12 Concept2 Workout of the Day WOD

Doing Today’s Concept2 Workout of the Day (WOD)

It’s already the 12th and I haven’t even started the 2016 Concept2 Virtual Team Challenge to join my teammates on Team Grotto — but I shall today. So, since my back is now better, I’ll try to get back into the saddle with today’s January 12, 2016, daily WOD for the Concept2 Indoor Rower rowing ergometer.

Gear and tech that’ll make me strong and skinny

OK, I am not so naïve as to assume that all the fitness apps we have have strapped to our wrists, clipped to our shirts, and filling up our iPhones and Androids — but it’s not far from the truth. Over the last three months I have been so busy with actual work that I have put […]
